Mental Health
Helping Waltham Forest by connecting communities and supporting minds
Since 1995, CREST has been delivering services that directly support individuals within the local community who are living with mental health challenges.
The Snug Community Hub
“The Snug” is a fresh addition to our community, serving as a dedicated hub for fostering connections and nurturing mental well-being. We extend an invitation for you to join us on Wednesdays and Fridays, where we offer an array of art-based and contemplative groups and activities. Mental health professionals can download a referral form below. For self referral contact us. For further information Contact Linda Cairns linda.mccairns@crestwf.org.uk
The Chingford Well-Being Café offers support to E4 residents who may be experiencing mental health challenges, loneliness, or social isolation, and are seeking greater purpose and connection in their lives. The café runs every Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at South Chingford Community Library, located at Chingford Mount Road, E4 8LP.
This friendly, welcoming space provides an opportunity for individuals to chat, engage in new activities, listen to guest speakers, and enjoy outings—part of the 10-session program available to participants.
Referrals can be made through Social Prescribing, GPs, or other healthcare professionals, and individuals are also welcome to self-refer by completing a form or contacting Rachel Freeborn.
To learn more please contact the Well-Being Co-Ordinator – Rachel Freeborn on 07973 100194 or email Rachel.freeborn@crestwf.org.uk – please note that Rachel only works one day a week so please be patient as she may not always be able to answer you immediately.
