HARMONY HALL

Looking for a venue in Waltham Forest for that special family party? Or for attractive weekly space for a community group? Or want to run an IT course? Then look no further. Just off Walthamstow High Street at the centre of the borough is Harmony Hall, a multicultural family centre serving the people of central Walthamstow. It comprises two medium sized halls and one large meeting room which doubles as an up-to-the minute IT suite with ten terminals, it is available for hire seven days a week, from 9am to 11pm. The rooms and the halls are arranged on two floors and there is a kitchen which can be used for heating and serving food and for making hot drinks. Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted on the premises, but we do not have a bar or licence. A large number of Gopak tables and chairs are available at no extra charge. The downstairs hall boasts a stage with proscenium arch and can accommodate ninety people seated around tables and 120 people unseated. The upstairs hall, whilst not yet disability accessible, is light and airy and can accommodate the same numbers. We currently have a vast range of community groups, faith communities and adult education classes taking place each week, but we still have some spare availability. In addition the centre provides an office base for several community based organisations and the operational base for Waltham Forest Community Credit Union.

The centre operates a booking policy which sets two different rates:

  1. Private individuals and businesses wishing to use the centre for one off booking e.g. birthday party etc.... (One- off bookings are also required to leave a returnable deposit in cash.)
  2. Community groups wishing to use the centre for a regular (usually weekly) booking. (50% of the rate for private individuals and businesses.)Those wishing to use the centre for a regular (usually weekly) booking.
